The Motion Analysis Lab at 色香视频

Students in Exercise and Sport Performance, Physical Therapy, and other programs utilize the Motion Analysis Laboratory (MAL) on our Portland Campus to engage in research that builds on the existing knowledge in their fields.

The lab allows you to observe and measure human motion that cannot be observed with the naked eye, and to quantify the forces in the joints and neuromuscular and muscle systems.

The research you do in this technologically-advanced learning space allows you to apply the theoretical knowledge you gain in the classroom to projects investigating such crucial matters to your field as better understanding the laws of sports biomechanics, or the most effective approaches to ACL rehabilitation. In the MAL, you might explore new exercises to manage the effects of osteoarthritis or to enhance the motor control of children with cerebral palsy or post-traumatic brain disorders. The possibilities are practically endless.

The MAL鈥檚 resources include the latest 3D Motion Analysis Software, as well as an eight-camera Qualisys Track Manager System, three AMTI Force Plates, a sixteen-channel Noraxon Wireless EMG System, and a Biodex Isokinetic Dynamometer.

Facilities

  • The MAL is a 1500 square foot facility equipped with state-of-the-art equipment including:
