A Full Calendar of Events and Gatherings
From gathering on the shore to ring the É«ÏãÊÓƵ Bell for First Night, to games and barbecues at Homecoming, events on campus enrich your journey and build your community at É«ÏãÊÓƵ.
Harvest Fest, Winter Lighting, and the 50-plus year tradition of faculty- and staff-served Thanksgiving Dinner are some of the annual events you can look forward to in the fall semester. During the spring semester, participate in a É«ÏãÊÓƵ mountain takeover for skiing and snowboarding, attend the Spring Formal Dance, and cap off the year with the Spring Concert.
Be a Team Player
Whether you’re a student-athlete or an active member of our Nor’Easter fan section, getting involved with athletics is one of the best ways to tap into the É«ÏãÊÓƵ spirit. Our Biddeford campus is home to 18 varsity sports teams and more than 20 club teams where you can show up for the big game and cheer on your fellow Nor’Easters.
±«±··¡â€™s also offers intramural sports leagues throughout each semester. Grab some friends, or go in as a free agent, and join an intramural sports team where you will be welcomed to play regardless of age, ability, gender, or skill level.

At É«ÏãÊÓƵ, we recognize that thriving both personally and academically requires mindful self-care and whole-person wellness. Our Office of Student Engagement provides a salutary array of activities, assessments, experiences, and opportunities to help you grow into a healthy, comfortable, and confident person and a poised, successful professional. Highlights of our wellness and recreation programs include:
- Group exercise classes
- 1-1 fitness training opportunities
- Peer Health Educator program
- Meditation and mindfulness classes
- Rental equipment for outdoor recreational activities like hiking, canoeing, kayaking, skiing, and more.

Everyone in the É«ÏãÊÓƵ community works hard to cultivate a welcoming and inclusive campus environment for all students, faculty, and professional staff, as well as visitors and friends of the University. The Office of Intercultural Student Engagement offers programs, events, services, spaces, and other resources that help raise sensitivity and appreciation for the diversity of our community.
Our Global Education Program is another way you can cultivate a spirit of intercultural exploration. We offer semester-long programs in Tangier, Morocco, and Seville, Spain, as well as many short-term travel courses that can take you anywhere from the Galapagos Islands to the mountains of Iceland.
