Margaret Zamboni, D.O., FAAP
Dr. Zamboni joined University Health Care for Kids in August of 2008 after finishing her pediatric residency at Maine Medical Center. She trained at the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital of Maine Medical Center from 2005 through June of 2008. While at MMC, she participated in the Pediatric Transport Team, transporting critically ill children from smaller hospitals in Maine to Maine Medical Center's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Other projects included advocating for SCHIP (State Children's Health Insurance Program) reauthorization and lecturing at grand rounds on STDs and adolescents.
Dr. Maggie graduated with honors in 2005 from the 色香视频College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school and was excited to return to the University as a pediatrician. In med school, she was active in various groups, working on issues such as universal healthcare and volunteering at the local soup kitchen and elementary school. She received her Bachelors degree from the University of Maine in Orono. A real Mainer!
Dr. Maggie has hospital privileges at both Maine Medical Center and Mercy Hospital. She also covers the newborn nursery service at Maine Medical Center a couple weeks a year, which affords the opportunity to do more teaching. As an assistant clinical professor at the University of New England, she regularly teaches medical students and residents in her office and also lectures at the medical school.

The transport team consists of a pediatric resident physician, pediatric critical care nurse, a respiratory therapist and an EMT who transport critically ill infants and children from smaller hospitals throughout Maine and New Hampshire to Maine Medical Center's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
