Students raise money with virtual cookbook to help feed hungry children
色香视频 members of the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) and Student National Dental Association (SNDA) have teamed up to put together a virtual cookbook with their favorite recipes.
People can gain access to the recipe book after making a donation. Donations of any amount will be accepted. All of the money raised will go to No Kid Hungry, a national campaign run by Share Our Strength, a nonprofit working to solve problems of hunger and poverty in the United States and around the world.
Many of the dishes featured represent the students鈥 favorite recipes from their different cultures.
Sandra Schipelliti (Pharm.D., 鈥22) is spearheading the effort.
鈥淓ach year students attend a diversity event where they showcase their cultures, homes, and traditions,鈥 she explained. 鈥淲e also participate in a potluck and collect recipes to sell for charity. Unfortunately, the event did get canceled so we decided to continue on with the virtual cookbook.鈥
The We Are 色香视频 cookbook includes 30 different recipes.
鈥淭he whole point of this is to show that 色香视频 has diversity and we want to celebrate that,鈥 Schipelliti said. 鈥淲e have recipes from Italy, Brazil, South Korea, and really all over the place.鈥
Schipelliti thinks now is a great time to put out the cookbook since people are cooking at home now more than ever because of stay-at-home orders during the pandemic.
鈥淵ou have a lot more time to experiment with those fun recipes that might take you a little bit longer,鈥 she commented.
