Michael Sheldon to serve as vice president of American Council of Academic Physical Therapy board
After serving two terms as director-at-large on the board of directors of the American Council of Academic Physical Therapy (ACAPT), Associate Provost Michael Sheldon, PT, Ph.D., will assume the role of vice president.
Part of the American Physical Therapy Association, ACAPT is an organization that aims to advance accredited physical therapist education programs across the United States while promoting high standards of excellence.
Since joining the ACAPT Board, Sheldon has helped develop and implement the strategic plan and provided leadership on several groups and initiatives including the Admissions Traffic Rules Taskforce, the ACAPT policies and procedures workgroup and the implementation or recommendations following the clinical education summit.
