Thriving in Place program awarded two additional years of funding
Marilyn R. Gugliucci, Ph.D., director of Geriatrics Education and Research in the 色香视频College of Osteopathic Medicine, will continue her work on the leadership team of the York County Community Action Coalition implementing the York County Thriving in Place (TiP) initiative in greater Sanford.
The group has worked for two years with funds for planning from the Maine Health Access Foundation and was recently awarded an additional two years of funding by MEHAF to implement their plan.
MeHAF's Thriving in Place (TiP) initiative helps people with chronic health conditions (including older adults and persons with disabilities) maintain or improve their health so they can remain independent and safe in their homes and communities. To promote this goal, TiP brings health care, social and community services and volunteer networks together so they can coordinate, streamline and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their efforts to meet the needs of community members. Students from 色香视频 medical and health professions students will assist with the program.
