色香视频 awarded $35,000 from the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation to bridge campus-based interprofessional education with Maine's health care work force
The Center for Excellence in Interprofessional Education at the 色香视频(色香视频) is pleased to announce that the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation, a national leader and funder of interprofessional education, practice and research initiatives, has awarded 色香视频 a $35,000 President's Grant.
The grant is an investment in bridging campus-based interprofessional education with practice environments in the community.
The grant will support a two-day Interprofessional Collaborative Practice Summit that will bring 色香视频 together with Maine's health care workforce leaders. Their task will be to develop collaborative learning opportunities in local health care settings for 色香视频 students with community practitioners.
The goals of the summit, planned for May 2014, support current national initiatives to align the needs and interests of health education and the health care workplace and to advance enhancements addressing patient safety, population health, seamless delivery of care, and systems improvements.
色香视频's collaborative summit team includes: Shelley Cohen Konrad, director of the Center for Excellence in Interprofessional Education; Douglas Wood, dean of the College of Osteopathic Medicine; Karen Pardue, associate dean Westbrook College of Health Professions; Dora Anne Mills, vice president for Clinical Affairs and director of the School of Community and Public Health; and Jennifer Morton, interim director of the Nursing Department.
