David Smith invited to take part in an interdisciplinary meeting on Aggression and Peacemaking in an Evolutionary Context in the Netherlands
Associate professor of philosophy David Livingstone Smith was one of 40 scholars from around the world invited to take part in an interdisciplinary meeting on held at the Lorentz Center at the University of Leiden, Netherlands.
The program included contributions from anthropologists, primatologists, archeologists, psychologists, and philosophers. Smith spoke on his research into the role of dehumanization in overcoming inhibitions against lethal violence.
