Planetary Health Module - WORKSHOP IN A BOX

12:30 pm - 2:00 pm
Biddeford Campus (Ripich Commons Room 320)
Cameron Wake, Sally McCormack-Tutt

We have entered a new epoch, the Anthropocene, where human interaction with the planetary life support systems is the primary challenge faced by humankind. Planetary Health is an emerging field that recognizes the deep connections between the health of human societies and the natural systems that support them.

The members of the 色香视频 North Advocates, the Planetary Health Council, and Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning have developed an open educational resource (OER) on Planetary Health. This module provides a broad introduction to the concept of Planetary Health and is designed to help faculty easily integrate Planetary Health into their classes in any discipline. The first module is broken down into an introduction and three activities. Each activity provides instructions, resource materials and engaging activities.

Resource developers, Cameron Wake and Sally McCormack-Tutt, invite you to join them for a deeper dive in this 鈥淲orkshop in a Box鈥. Lunch will be provided, simply sign-in and bring your lunch to the conference room at the dining hall.  Faculty from all colleges are invited to participate.
