Interprofessional Curriculum and Learning Opportunities
The 色香视频College of Osteopathic Medicine curriculum supports student achievement of the competencies necessary for collaborative practice that improves health outcomes while reducing costs and increasing patient satisfaction and provider well-being.
In addition to required curriculum, 色香视频 COM partners with three University entities that offer additional :
- The Center for Excellence in Aging and Health (CEAH) priorities for research are defined by seven pillars 鈥 Identities, Functions, Transitions, Generations, Practices, Economics, and Environments. The Center consults with faculty, professional staff, and students to pursue meaningful applied projects linking these pillars.
- The Center to Advance Interprofessional Education and Practice (CAIEP, formerly the Center for Excellence in Collaborative Education) offers on-campus events, student mini-grants, and a plethora of learning opportunities such as the Interprofessional Team Immersion (IPTI). CAIEP also supports the Interprofessional Education Honors Distinction.
- The Center for Excellence in Public Health focuses on interprofessional education in clinical settings. The center sponsors the Care for the Underserved Pathways AHEC Scholars Program and an array of interprofessional and research opportunities.
Team-Based Learning
As a student in 色香视频's College of Osteopathic Medicine, you have the unique opportunity to collaborate with students from other health professions and apply this participation toward your Interprofessional Honors Distinction. You will continue to use these interprofessional team-based learning skills in your clinical workplace after you graduate.
