Why É«ÏãÊÓƵ?
I chose É«ÏãÊÓƵ because of the beach front location where I can enjoy the outdoors as well as dive into the healthcare field. É«ÏãÊÓƵ’s internship program helped me grow my healthcare experiences and passions by getting an internship placement at North Sky Chiropractic, where I can apply my neuroscience classes to better understand the human body.
Favorite class
Sociology of Food and Health – It was eye-opening to learn about the current food insecurity and food assistance programs in America. For my final project, I was able to participate in the SNAP Challenge, which allowed me to better understand the difficulties of living on a tight food budget as well as the impacts that malnutrition can have on one’s health.
Go-to local place to eat
My favorite local restaurant is Kobe Japanese Grill, which is my go-to restaurant to celebrate after long exam weeks.
Favorite spot on campus
Jordan Point Kiosk – I find it relaxing to study outside while looking at the Saco River. It is also a great spot to watch the sunset at night with friends!
